Electronics recyclers gather in Salzburg, Austria on 22-24 January for the 23rd International Electronics Recycling Congress.
The IERC 2025 brings together industry leaders, experts, and investors from more than 40 countries to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and challenges in the broad electronics recycling industry. With 300 participants and wide-ranging presentations, IERC 2025 is a ‘must-attend for all players in the circular economy,’ according to Swiss congress organiser ICM. ‘IERC 2025 is the leading platform for connecting innovation, legislation, and practical applications in electronics recycling,’ says conference steering committee chair Jean Cox-Kearns. ‘We are delighted to once again welcome top-tier experts and decision-makers from around the world to Salzburg.’ IERC speakers include:• Paul Hagen, environmental law expert (Beveridge & Diamond, USA), will shed light on the implications of the new Basel Convention regulations on e-waste.
Site visitsThe European Electronics Recyclers Association (EERA) will use the IERC stage to unveil its new guidelines on the safe handling and storage of lithium batteries while practical insights into the recycling industry will be provided through site visits to Montanwerke Brixlegg (copper recycling) and Erema Group (plastic recycling).
Expo floorSome 30 recycling tech solution providers will showcase their latest tools and innovations on IERC’s exhibition floor.
Farewell to Salzburg; Asia version in the makingIERC will be in Salzburg for the last time. IERC 2026 will be held in Valencia, Spain.
