The short 180-kilometer stretch of highway between Munich and Salzburg is covered in 1 hour and 45 minutes (a highway sticker is required from the Austrian border at Walserberg. Stickers can be purchased at the border). A shuttle service operating between the Munich and Salzburg airports makes it particularly convenient to travel to Salzburg.
